2017 Paradox Flying 5000 Go Karts - New team comes in to take the WIN

2017 Paradox Flying 5000 Christchurch Go Karts

Action Security & Access wins the 2017 Paradox Flying 5000

After 18 years of this event Brent Stokes, Atlas Gentech’s security account manager, says the enthusiasm has not wavered at all to win; in fact it has got even more competitive over the years with teams working out who is quick enough to be in their race teams.

Leaderboard:

  1. On their second attempt, Action Security has come through with winning form with a firm game plan which they stuck to as they actually started 5th on the opening lap.
  2. Headed by the ever popular Ricahrd "Fangio" Jones, Alarms Solutions follwed very closely in second place and moved up one place from last year.
  3. Aotea Security came in third place trying to defend their first place from last year.

Special Mention:

  • A special mention to the guys from Ross Galt Lock & Alarm as this was there first time and scared the rest of the field by picking up the 1st place in the shoot out to gain first on grid for the race, but just got pipped by Aotea Security for third. It was a great effort and I’m sure they will want to come back for another crack next year.

2017 Paradox Flying 5000 Christchurch Go Karts

This years' event was again held with great spirits with all the other race teams apart from the occasional whoop whoop and hola when an opposition racer did something to their team member -mostly to catch the ear of the stewards that were handing out the penalties on track.

At the end of the day we put this event on for our clients and have done so for the last 18 years because we also enjoy the banter and laughter from opposition companies having a great time together and feel that this event is one way of doing this after a hard year of work.

We would like to thank our main sponsor Paradox Security Systems for their ongoing support of this event with some great prizes.

The Christchurch team at Atlas Gentech would also like to thank everybody that attended and hoped they had as much fun as we did putting the event on and look forward to next year.
