Advanced Security WINS the 2015 Paradox Flying 5000 Go Karts

The Annual Flying 5000 sponsored by Paradox was held on October 21 at Supa Karts raceway in Christchurch. The defending champions, Vision Systems, were very confident going into the event but there were a lot of teams either out for revenge from last year or teams that wanted to get their names on the trophy for the first time.

Atlas Gentech security account manager Brent Stokes says “the Flying 5000 has been around for 16 years which I have been a part of for the last 14 years. It’s all about everyone coming along and having some fun with friends and competitors alike. It’s also a great chance to showcase your driving talents, being enthusiastic to fellow team mates/companies and having a great time.”

Leaderboard:

  • First place went to Advanced Security who came back after a close second place last year
  • Close in second for the defending champions was Vision Systems - although a black flag and a drive through penalty didn’t help their cause for the final outcome
  • Third place was the ever present team from Aotea Security who tried a different strategy that did not quite pay off for them this year - we know they will be back to get their name on the trophy next year

The Christchurch teams from Atlas Gentech would like to thank all the racers and their supporters, and look forward to seeing you again next year.
