The Hanwha HAN-PNM-C7083RVD multi-directional camera can deliver fast and accurate object classification due to the AI powered, deep-learning algorithms on board the camera. It has 2MP X 2CH, which consists of two motorised, varifocal 3-6mm sensors for remote configuration delivering flexible field of view adjustment in each direction. By having multiple sensors with object classification, the camera can reduce the occurrence of false alarms. The technology enables the cameras to distinguish human faces, identify particular vehicles and even recognise license plates. This heightened accuracy results in fewer false alarms caused by animals, wind, or movement of stray objects. Camera generated metadata (person, face, vehicle, and license plate) is embedded in the video allowing a compatible VMS to use the data for highly efficient, forensic search in real time. When this function is utilised, only one VMS licence is required which is a huge cost saving. AI-based searches on the backend are particularly useful as it allows users to search footage for particular objects. When reviewing footage, the camera also generates BestShot (a frame containing the object detected) which can be displayed in forensic search results to assist the operator in making a quick selection. WiseNRII uses AI to reduce image blur in low-light environments with large amounts of noise, resulting in clearer images.
